no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
sounds like a customer had a bad run in with the business so he entered a fake name into the white pages and used the business number and they get so many calls from people now etc etc? am i close?

Pretty much got it in one. Sad part is the customer did not have a legitimate complaint against the business, just one of the many nutters in this world who couldn't get his own way, so this was a form of revenge.
Have to wonder though why the person who took the listing didn't check the validity etc first, given the name for the listing.
My Father knows the owner of the business in question, which is how I know the story behind the white pages entry.
LOl even thought tis fake, what a laugh

I often wonder about ID processes. Generally you are asked for you date of birth, street number and postcode etc. Many of us would know these basic details of our friends and relatives and could pull it off over the phone?
yeah I know, I have before recieved calls where I have thought that it was not the legal lesse of the service.
But in the case of a listing, you would need to have that name on the account, as the listing name has to match the account name. To change an account name you need to provide proof, IE birth/marriage certificates etc...
So Im not sure how dodgey the other telcos are to allow this? (that number was not T's) Someone looked![]()
