hey guys wondering if we should have a commodore nats im a bathurst local and been talking with the local car club about having a realy good car show up at mt panorama with a 1/8 mile drag and a "super sprint"a 2 car race down the chase. show and shine if so let me know what time of the year will be the best how many days so,on ,so,on![]()
im from parkes would love this to happen it would be major out this way
hell yea im up for it october would be the best month i think
just spoke with a local car audio shop to run sound off they cant wait
sounds like fun. whenever would be fine...just dont overlap any powercruises or easternats or whatever cos that will definitely cut down attendance.
go for it!
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
i will have to try and get all the dates from the other powercruises and events.
it would look pretty sic a massive charity cruise clogging up the roads to bathurst for the commodore nats L.O.L
There already is a Commodore Nats, it's on every year, it's in Canberra, more commonly known as the Summernats.![]()
thats rite i forgot what got grand champion not a commodore...
and im sure i mentioned a good show!! summernats has been crap for about 8 years its all about the sponsors and not the cars
id be keen.
I owe a mate in Bathurst a trip to visit anyway :-p
How can you have a "good" car show with only Commodores? You might get a lot of cars there, however, i bet 80% would be just average shopping trolleys....You won't get heaps of people coming to look either, as not everyone wants to walk around looking at only Commodores all day!
but for the few that did show up atleast they wuld be passionate and not drunk yobbos there for sponsers and wet tshirt comps
thats rite how could it be a commodore nats with other car models fair enough some may look like a line of shopping trolleys at least they have the khoonas to enter and drive them
What i'm saying is, a Commodore nats will never draw big crowds....And what pays for these type of events? Punters....Without people coming through the gates for a look-see, the event will be a flop! Why do you think nearly every car show is open to all makes & models? To make sure the event is a success and pays for itself.
^^^^ i do get ur point but instead of trying to flame the idea how about have a usefull input maybe it should be more open on makes and models it could make for more xcitn line ups ford vs holden instead of holden vs holden
sumn out this way will go great when ppl smell burning rubber they flock (well i do lol)
i dont really see the point of an 1/8mile... why not just have a 1/4mile like any normal place would
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
the track at bathurst dosent have a long enough straight at least it will be legal
Well, the thing is you don't even have to open it up to Fords if you don't want to, you could have something along the lines of the All Holden Days but with driving events. Just including all Holden models will increase the crowd 10 fold, entrants & punters alike....Nothing like a few tough older Holdens to draw a crowd.![]()
Oh, and is this thread supposed to have a poll? Cos if not I will just move it to the pub.
Yeh well, i've never been to C4C (nor do i intend to) to see it, but i'd imagine thats what it would be like. Hence why i said this show would need to be opened to other models to make it any sort of decent car show...
i like the way this is goin any head way on organisers and sponsors tho?
