Is that the colour which looks like snot? One of the colours they bought out in Green looked absolutely terrible although the exact colour name I don't recall.

Hero colours are a bad idea, because once the new model's out to replace them they look tacky.. I can't imagine a colour like Marinello red going out of fashion though

Hothouse green though... looks very good on the utes.... but that's about it. I think it's a bit too much on a sedan.

It was a great stand out colour when new, because at the time Holden could only manage the worst most boring colours in the companies history. But since then everyones been spicing it up and Hothouse green looks pretty bland these days so no. It's not up to the task anymore. Same with Turismo but that does look good on a VN. What they should do is bring Morpheus back, almost no one bought it for some odd reason (it would have been my only choice) but the VE SSs in that colour sell for good money

Hothouse was (keyword from the first post) awesome, ever since i saw it on the pilot monaro (first ever car with hothouse).

Such a shame it was made into the bland colour it is by all those VY SS's and S's being painted in it.

I don't think so. The post that referred to the mystery colour was back in 2003 and I think would have been referring to that weird green/gold hero colour on VX's. Wish I could think of the name, but I thought it looked crap back then, and still do.

That was defininitely reminiscent of a crappy nappy.

As much as i love Hothouse Green it should never leave the VY. I think any newer model cars in it will just look funny. I must admit tho it does look good on a VL.

There's a VS Stato in Hothouse not far from here. I can't work out whether it suits the car or not.
