I'm going to have to put in another vote for the XY, purely because of the GTHO.

Other than that, I'd say the BA. After the pathetic AU, Ford Australia really needed to lift their game...and thankfully, for their sake, they did. It was exactly the car they needed at the time. To be honest most of the cars they made between the XD and the AU don't really interest me that much.

You should read up on your history, the Phase 3 was the fastest sedan in the world when it was released, they came out with about 370hp running 11.5:1 comp.
I'm Holden through and through, but that is a great effort for 1971.

This is interesting having a falcon thread on a commodore site considering there the opposition and all. but anyway i spoze i cant critisize coz i voted xy but snything after the 70s was a bit meh till they slapped a hairdryer on the side of the 6 cylinders to keep up with the hsvs. Still have my holden over any ford anyday.
Just one small pick at the thread to be annoying it says which was the best ozzy ford. wasnt there a few cortinas made in oz too?
