    Smile Which Mac

    Hey

I was offered a mac notebook for my birthday coming up soon, ive narrowed it down to the macbook pro and macbook air, both of those would be the top package that apple offers, im leaning towards the pro for the power-money ratio.

    what do you think?

    Thanks

Macs are awesome. My Mac is now 7 years old and going strong. Don't have to waste money on anti-virus, spyware etc etc. It just works every time!

get a pro dude. airs are a good novelty, but in reality have no practical use of being so thin and are pretty slow. if you get a pro it will replace any pc you already have with a bonus of being portable. you will never have the need for something that's 'faster' because your air is too slow . plus the pros are pretty thin anyway.

All my family have Macs now except me and they are all awesome, anyone that doesn't think so is a twit, honestly . PC's were shit in 1984 and they are still shit now. Pity the current Mac's are a intel based PC same as anything else lol but at least they are a high quality one

not on a pro, only backspace, you have to press function and backspace for delete.

and the other thing is, try and get fullscreen out of something other than a slide show. you can only drag the sides of the window you are viewing to make it larger but you can never make it go fullscreen. it really sucks if you are trying to view a large page.

my sistr has the new-fnagle-dang apple big something desktop which i have to admit has an AMAZING screen res (and a hell cool mouse). but i said to her, "ok sis... make that image go full screen" she couldnt do it, whats the point of having such an awesome resolution if you just gonna get distracted by your desktop image and stupid little windows in the background?

@ari, thats why im getting extended warranty, so when a part breaks just take it to apple and they'll give me a new one, they have done that before with my iPhone.

got nothing to do with being a mac though, you can run windows on a mac if you want (although i heard bootcamp is sometimes a little screwy).

I've got a Macbook, Have you considered a Macbook? All my friends/girlfriend have macbook, Have for years.
I've had mine for about 4 years now, Updated it to leopard awhile ago it loves it.
The only good thing about PC is if you play games.
Don't listen to the haters, if you have a mac set up good (With all the short cuts etc) after using it for a week you'll go on a pc and be like freakin hell, Macs are simply.

Also a mac can run windows just as good as mac if you need it via paralells (Never played with boot camp)
Once you go Mac you more then likely not to go back.

Yeah, 12 years ago maybe .... not today however.
