Where is the "Both are a waste of money." option?
Had a mate who was a mechanic, I was talking to him about Splitfire plugs one day, then he told about the Iridium tips, and that they were really good.
I tried them in my old VL and they seemed to be pretty good, haven't* tried them in my VR or VS yet..

Oh crist, a sparkplug is a sparkplug. If I was going to put expensive plugs in my car, I'd want to be owning a 4 cyl engine. I honestly can't see any power gains out of expensive plugs.
thanks for ur thoughs mate
Are you running a stock engine or some top notch hi-performance engine???
Stock engine with all bolt ons cept for a chargerlol
Standard plugs are the way to go, at the end of the day all spark plugs do the same thing just some last longer than others

Tossers
if u look on the ngk site in the tech area it even sayz
"NGK as a company tries to stay clear of saying that a racing spark plug (or ANY spark plug) will give you large gains in horsepower. While certain spark plugs are better suited to certain applications (and we're happy to counsel you in the right direction) we try to tell people that are looking to "screw in" some cheap horsepower that, in most cases, spark plugs are not the answer.
Some of these "specialised racing plugs" are made with precious metal alloy centre/ground electrodes or fine wire tips or retracted-nose insulators. Again, these features do not necessarily mean that the spark plug will allow the engine to make more power, but these features are what allow the spark plug to survive in these tortuous conditions. Most racers know screwing in a new set of spark plugs will not magically "unlock" hidden horsepower."
y waste ur money
I just put in the Bosch - Platinum Ir-Fusion plugs into my VS Clubsport 2 weeks ago, as I had a rough idle just on startup. What a mistake that was!!!! Stick to good ol normal ngk's! It now starts up like an absolute pig!!! Will be changing back to the plugs I had in before tomorrow. Will re-post and let you know what happens.
Also, anybody have an idea what would cause a hesitation at about 4400 rpm til about 5000 rpm on full throttle? When it gets above 5k its back on full power. No computer errors at all come up on the diagnostic using the 2pin bridge (homemade diagnostic that every1 uses lol). It has aftermarket leads, and I have been told to stick to the genuine holden leads as they handle the high ignition that the commodores have better than any other leads. True or False.
Cheers, Jamie
My car has whatever sparkplugs they put in it at the last service...a spark plug is a spark plug as far as I'm concerned.
