Would you donate your organs?

Just curious how many people on this forum would donate their organs or tissue to non for profit transplant organisations after death? Would you donate say, your eyes, heart, lungs, liver etc after your body has ceased functioning? And if you had the option of donating tissue like bone marrow now would you?
If not why? And if so what would you donate and would you wish to keep anything?

If you are against, donating organs, would you donate money for further research into prosthetic limbs, organs and such?

Reason I ask is because I'll be using this info in a small part of a research study and strategy to make people more aware, and donate. I'm doing for my final year of uni. The finished analysis will be forwarded to DonateLife | Australian Organ & Tissue Donation & Transplantation Authority - DonateLife So would appreciate any feedback. Please answer with your age and male or female if possible. Thanks guys.

In answer to the OP though, I would donate anything I didn't need ever again. So IF I was to die, people who need parts of me can have whatever they want...

I don't plan on death though. Technology will advance enough in my life time to drastically increase longevity and I'm hoping eventually mean we won't ever have to die. But that's a different topic.

I would donate everything apart from my face. They could use parts of my face individually but now the whole.

When I'm dead, I have no use for them and letting my carcass sit in the ground and rot or burn it up would be a waste.

Every year I've put YES on my license forms saying I'd donate. Not once has it been recognised and put on my license.

By the time I'm dead I think my liver and lungs will be well and truly f***ed But anything of use I'd say yeah.
And furthermore if someone I cared about needed a kidney or something else while I still breathin' then I'd find it hard to say no if I was the only option.

Ofcourse I would donate, Actually I am a Organ Donor.

For me it is an easy choice, My Father had Kidney failure an was on dialysis every 2nd day for 4-5hours, An My life fell to shit.
But after 8years, 4days before his birthday... We got the call early in the morning, To pack his bags an get him to the hospital to start prep, He finally came up in line on the waiting list.

Unfortunately a young man lost his life, But Myself an my family are in debt to him an his families choice to accept he was going up for organ donation.

Today, My dad 9months later, Fully recovered after surgery is great. New lease on life, A lot more time to give me the shits but as much as it pisses me off, I love it. Because growing up, for those 8-9 years, I practically didnt have a dad an life was hell with work an mentally.

So yes, I am an organ donor as well as everyone in my family.
