Default you prefer freezing or boiling?

im talking about temperatures in your workspace. bearing in mind that freezing hands make pain all the worse, but hot hands make more blood come out.

    heating and cooling options allowed.

    GO!

Warmer. 30-40 degrees all year round is fine by me. I can never get Warm in winter no matter how much I wear and even sitting in front of the heater with it cranked right up. I dont know how ive managed to live in melbourne all my life

    Hate both extremities.

In saying that, I'd probably choose cold with a big heater, easier to get warm than it is to get cool

freezing cold. although i may be little biased, most of my work is outside in the cold
atleast in the cold you can wear more to warm up.

last week. 4 degrees in an open area. wearing shorts.
go inside the building and its like 27 degrees. a bloody sauna!
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

if I'm working indoors, I prefer winter - you can rug up easy enough
but if I'm working outdoors (like I often do, and at ridiculous hours of the night and morning) then I prefer summer.

Overall I prefer summer, especially now I live out west. The temps get rather high out here in summer (COLD & windy in winter) but the humidity is nothing like the coastal areas. Humidity stuffs me long before the heat does.

Gonna have to vote cold here. Did my work experience at my mechanics during the summer (all outside with very little shade), and the heat purely made me want to not get out of bed in the morning and go! And I really loved my time there..

Nothing beats a fresh breeze on a winters morning in my opinion

Defiantly freezing.. can sleep much better imo ( warm and rugged up!) getting out of a bed is a mission.. but, at least you wont sweat to much thru-out the day, depending on what you do..

I also love the cold for working inside cars, !!

Only big downer is, hands feel stiff and VERY gumby haha

Cold too, just get yaself some good work gloves and your set. However if I'm working I'd rather it be hotter as concrete tends to go off (cure) faster which means I normally get to go home faster. I can work in hot weather, don't mind it, just when it gets humid as fk I tend to get cranky.

cold for sure.. rug up and wear gloves so your hands dont hurt as much when a spanner slips. my mate has a few of those pole-mounted outdoor gas heater things for his shop and they work reasonably well.

theres nothing worse than doing a real bastard of a job on a stinking hot humid day i reckon

Being a Cement Renderer im screwed either way. In summer we have to work in direct sunlight which sucks on its own but it also makes the cement go off quicker so we gotta work faster, and the colder days also become a pain. Ever climbed scaffolding at 6:30 in the morning and placing your hand in your water bucket to get a tool.. Its not fun

I think its easier to just get an office job...

cold for sure, gets rediculously hot working in engine bays when cars come in straight off the highway, specially when you gotta work on the front of the motor, heads pretty much resting on the radiator area!

I much prefer the cold, you can always add more layers for warmth but can only take so many off.
