subdue trust me i have a gen 3 cat converter on my exhaust, flows alot better, makes the exhaust note louder, doesnt make that 5 litre smell either for some reason, costs shuit all more than a stock sized one so just do it![]()
Shiny Shiny Shiny Shiny Shiny i think i was a bower bird in a former life. Save your money and go stainless at the very least you can then buy a new tooth brush after shining your new stainless with your old brush.
P.S Don't re-use the tooth brush after polishing with it. (not in ur mouth anyway)
no no no no no no......no
i know i remember this on a previous thread i just thought i would get some advice as i saw this on ebay... wouldn't the high flow be better than the gen III?Originally Posted by boona15

flow bench doesnt lie \...... i did work experience at an exhaust shop, had a tinker with the flowbench, tested a stock 5 litre cat, lukey high flow cat, gen 3 cat
the lukey high flow cat isnt so high flow..... standard is better but the gen 3 flows a little under 1 1/2 times more than a stock cat
A Tiger they are cool cats.
Shiny CAT? Honest why would ya? Is every one going to get down on their hands and knees to have a look under your car? Shit man I like shiny shit on the out side so people can see, all 39 of them little lights and 6 spotties. But hey thats my 2 cents worth.
I spose a GEN III would be good...... or you could just do what every one out this way does, bash a whole through the cat and weld a pipe through it. I know I know its illegal. Just giving ideas.
I ran twin Vl Turbo cats on my VN SS, also had a friend run them on his blown VS Senator, another guy used them on his VS GTS.
For the 5 litres they were a cheap great flowing cat.
for a moment there i thought there was some PUSSY here when i senn cat......

3 exhaust shops i asked about cats said there is no difference between a hi flow and a standard cat. they both flow relatively the same..
whats this about gen 3 ones though? my cat is rooted! hmm hope its not preggo ey.

I wouldnt, i'd use standard steel 3" hi flows. Can buy a pair for $450 these days. The 5.0 litres dont need twin cat's though twin into single into twin, more than enough flow and sweet sound.Originally Posted by subdue
