i like the wood grain better.... out fo thsoe 2 steering wheels anyway. If the elather one was more attractive i'd say leather.
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.

Do you want it for show or for comfort? All depends on what floats your boat.

Woodgrain looks sensational, and stands out from the rest of the interior. But it gets hot in the sun and is not so comfortable in the hands.

Both my statos have leather steering wheels. They feel fantastic in the hands but blend in with the rest of the interior.

i voted for wood grain. i reackon the old girls look sweet as with a nice woodgrain triwler with a chrome centre . yea, as Demons1964 said, they do get hot in the sun and when ur hands are real sweety, its a pain in the ass, but there not that bad . i had one in my old vk, my old vl, and ive got one in my current vl.

click on the link in my signature and theres a pic of my woodgrain there. it had a seperate chrome bit that goes around the horn button that makes it look 1000times better

woodgrain looks really classy. i have a leather one, but the woodgrain steering wheel in my dads old vk was the best steering wheel id ever seen, but when the car got written off it got sold with the rest of the car. I wouldnt be able to have a woodgrain steering wheel in my new vk cause it wouldnt compare.
but woodgrain looks nice in your car

Woodgrain all the way, a nice woodgrain wheel in the older cars looks awesome, and the beige interior looks the part with em too

ive hered of wood grain steering wheels being bad coz in crashes they splinter into pieces ans can impail the driver, woodgrain looks nice but only iff its in suitble interior eg: vk calais with marron interior, but with ur interior clint i think personally it wouldnt suit as it would be to dark for the surrounding, if u could get a wheel in pine colour it would suit, thus y i vote for leather. safer (not splintering) and if in tan colour will suit.

ive got a gray steering wheel in mine and it dosnt look 2 bad, but it was out of my old car which was gray interior and i must say the same colour wheel to dash looked like a complete product, not out of place

Edit: just did a quick 2 second job on a leather wheel

Clint just get the wood one... you can put a leather lace-up cover over it if it gets too slippery...and you can take it off again if you want to impress the girls with your hardwood !

YEP! Had a woodgrain on my VN Calais and a leather one on the VR.
Personally I will never go to a woodgrain again. Hands slide all over it, which isnt fun. They are good to drive with other then that tho, nice and solid.

I have had both on my VL.

The woodgrain looked awesome, but when it was hot, my hands got sweaty and kept slipping off the steering wheel.

Now I have a leather Momo steering wheel and that's much better.

I would go back to woodgrain however.

I know the Momo steering wheel looks a bit wacky in the pic, but in person it looks much better and I've gone for a silver and black theme in my interior.
