show, sound or go??? what would you prefer?? IF YOU COULD ONLY HAVE ONE OUT OF THESE CHOICES! me personally i hate car sound systems i think they are a waste of space and weight and are too much of a distraction while driving, and i would definately want my car to go better before i make it look the goods...
so for me its GO all the way![]()

Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
I would never get into sound systems.
I have one in my car, but it was in it, when I brought it and can't get into it.
I would love go, but show for me, is cheaper.
I'm happy to sacrifice power for something nice looking and drives nice too.![]()
All 3!!! got a supercharged (soon to be intercooled) V8 with a few other go fast mods, getting resprayed in January, just got hsv coulson seats with headrest monitors, lowered with hbd kit and 18" rims, got a massive stereo with in dash tv, 4 pairs of speakers, (including one set for bootlid lol) 4 amps, 3 12" subs and some other goodies. So you could say we've got all the bases covered!
The stereo has been designed so most of it can be removed in less than 30 mins for to save weight on the track if necessary. I know a lot of the stuff is just weighing the car down and making it slower, but if you want a really fast car you don't start with a VT calais in the first place lol. Its a compromise between all 3 of the things mentioned.
Go, not that there is much use for a slingshot on the street but I love the feel of grunt once you get on a race track.
So that rules out a big sterio, weighs too much.
Looks are definately good, but I have always gone for the grunt first. Its a bit of fun beating people with what looks like a pile of crud
go n sound first (of the engine that is)
but like abit of balance aswell, u can't have a POS sleeper. so it should look nicey not ricey but also have the go to back it up n more

Should make this into a poll.
I'd prefer show and sound, go is just as important to me but with 2 small kids i'm not looking to make the family car go any quicker then it already does!
Give me a project and it will be a different story!
i say all 3 but most important to me would be show and coming in second would be go lol
yeh i shoulda made it a poll... mods??
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
yeh ill make it a poll
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
go go go, who cares if your can doof faster than it can accelerate, who cares if your car is ricier than japans rice fields. When it is all said and done people are most impressed with how quick you can get down a 1/4 mile. Granted a car should be tidy maybe a nice set of wheels, but for me it is all about performance.

something that i agree with u minux, i hate drivin with music unless its a looong trip like over 300k
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
Cars are made to be driven........so for me, go is the first step![]()
Well I simply do not have the money for go (at the moment anyway) so I would say show. I always take pride in my ride and the way it looks. So for someone poor like me lowered suspension and some 18s are the first step. I can live with stock commy sound system as long as I have a CD player.
I highly doubt you will get anyone tick the sound box.
WoOOOooOOOo IM THE FIRST PERSON FOR SOUND! only because its cheaper then the other 2...
if i was paying then audio
if i won a compition or something then ALLLLLLL go....
so my order if im paying is
-audio
-looks
-go
if someone else is (wont happen) then opposite order =]
I don't need a car that goes from 0 - 150 K's in 10 seconds. I like cruising with music blaring and a cigar in my mouth (I never light it...tastes like shit). I love a nice looking car, and music...I love music. Problem is, most of the time my wife turns it down or changes the station
.
Therefore:
1. My car must look awesome.
2. Sounds are essential.
3. Yes, it must go. But I wont mind pushing it if it looks good and the music is fly.

I went from one extreme to the other... I had a VS Equipe that was kitted to look like a club sport, but it felt so hollow and pointless, so I sold it. Now I have a fairly stock looking (except rims) VS Calais L67 which I am happy to say goes like shit from a shovel, and I am content with it being that way.
As for sound, I love music so I have an mp3 player in my car for the convenience of 150 songs on a disc and a JL Audio sub & splits ONLY because I hate tinny sound and I like to listen to music the way it was meant to be heard. I have been happy with this very same system, which has been moved through 3 different cars I have owned, and I am not likely to change it any time soon.
Now I have got the go-juice bug and I am eyeing off FIT's intercooler kit...

* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
gotta have style first
johnny
show. u got to at least look the part
hehehe
I argee that its each to their own but i don't agree that people are most impressed with how quick a car get a quater mile...
Whats gonna get more looks cruising down the street
A. A Dumper car on big rims, loud stereo and an exhaust to make it sound better than stock with nuffin else performance wise...
or
B. A sleeper thats got 300rwkw and only a trained eye and ear can pick the tucker away intercooler and the induction noise of a high end charger?
Most people down the street are ur average Joe than knows how to change a tire and and if a dash light goes out they take their car into a HOLDEN dealer to get it fixed....
So for me its SHOW, GO and then SOUND.....
I like my car to attract attention jst caus im theres nuffin better than having randoms on the street (hot busty ones) take notice n wave n shit at the car.
If i had the money i would start working on the GO, too many idiots with stock V8's think that caus my car is DUMPED and on big rims im gonna race them at every set of lights... Annoys the crap outta me and shows their ignorace...DUDE, its got a S-Pack badge on the back, its a 6, why would i try n race an 8?
Though once in a while it would be nice to put these idiots in their place.... Choking on my dust!
All that said, some people get more kicks from taking their machine to the track and laying down a low 11 time which i respect too...

i voted go and show.
firsty go then show.
its no good having a car thats looks AWSM and people wait for the engine to kick in....then its no power or sound. dissapointment.
GO alll the way.
