Vic... Everyone Ive come across are either slow or dont let you in!
i have driven in all states except Tas and the N.T. and i can honestly tell you west australians are the worst drivers in the country nobody here nows how to merge, indicate around round a bouts, stick to a constant speed and give way oh and my biggest gripe is cutting in front of trucks they do it all the time over here![]()
be qld for sure
my ute doesnt come fitted with indicators or side mirrors, my radio is my distraction and the only speed i know is flat stick.
so yeah, qld for sure.
i am the god of britany spears womanizer on just dance on the wii
Very amusing to say the least, I am beginning to see a trend happening, us South Aussies seem to think the Vic's are the worst drivers. I remember sitting behind someone for a good length of time over there, opportunity comes up with a overtaking lane and they speed up and then once the overtaking lane is finished they drop to the same speed as before.
I have noticed in Adelaide, well at least where I'm driving a lot more drivers are allowing other drivers to merge.
I'm sure we can all picture this.
Roadworks - One of the lanes are blocked off and you have to merge into 1 lane, you get some twit flying up the inside to gain that all important position on the road, highly amusing when they find out no one will let them in. This here drives me nuts and I will refuse to let anyone in front of me who tries to gain the advantage rather than go the flow of traffic.
Of course the above rule doesn't apply if it's a fellow Commodore driver![]()
Yeah we get that all the time where 2 lanes merge into one and ppl try and gun it in the inside lane to get in front but no one lets you in.
I nearly stacked my clubby once because of that, i was in the left lane, AU falcon in the right lane, i was full car length in front of him though.
Isnt the rule that whoever is in front gains right of way? I had my indicator on and everything and was about to merge and he sped up and pushed me off, prick
Anyways he sped up and wouldnt let me in, pushed me off into dirt road, still wouldnt let me in, had to sorta swerve to avoid poles and crap, then my road rage kicked in and once i got back on the road he knew he was in the wrong lol, followed him for quite a while on the horn constantly with high beams right up his ass and then abused the crap out of him when he was next to me at a round about.
I live in Victoria but nearly every person I know that has writen off a car is from South Australia mostly from the Narracourt/Penola area. I'm pretty sure the records would show that have the biggest crashes per person in the country and most of the time they would be ****ed too. It's true that there is a race culture on Victorian roads where people speed up before speed signs/overtaking lanes to get the unfair jump on you to pass. I'd go mad if I didn't have the VP which is able to put most cars back in their place even if they get the jump on me

I lived in Vic have been through SA, NSW & WA and out of those I have to say Vic's are the worst drivers.
I voted SA. Having driven in all the other states, i can safely say SA drivers have no ****in clue how to operate a motor vehicle.
The only good thing about SA is the lower volume of traffic.

Well i was up in NSW on wednesday..... and got to say, the amount of gay cars on the road is unbelievable. Millions of homo kitted up little mirages and lancers and i even saw a done up suzuki and a 121.... bit bright colors and huge kits with massive exhausts.....
Sooooo lame, and saw many bad drivers on the road too lol
having never driven in every state in australia, i cant make a full judgement so i will just comment and vote on the ones i have
ACT: cant drive in suburban traffic, they are always in a rush (which is pointless because it takes you 30 minutes to get from one side to the other in normal conditions and only takes 5 minutes longer in peak hour). they dont understand proper road etiquitte at form one lanes (one left, one right and so on). they are good on highways though, maybe because we dont have any around here and they are too scared to go fast on open roads. canberra drivers seem to be in a daze most of the time.
NSW (sydney): like canberrans, they are always in a rush but because everyone one is used to it it seems to 'work'. they tailgate on major roads. they usually seem alert to what is going on.
QLD (brisbane): good drivers around town/city but terrible on the motorways. tailgate, speed and cut lanes all the time. around town, redlights are just a suggestion
so from my experience i will vote ACT because ther are arse holes and dont know WTF is going on half the time.
did you notice while you were up in brisbane how slow many people go on the highway? particularly while 'overtaking'
