Exclamation How Much Do you Fill Up With The High Petrol Prices?

Hey guys, just wondering if you have reduced your spending on fuel lately since the petrol keeps on going up.

    I used to spend $60 - $65 On Fuel a week when fuel was @ $1.23, now i spend between $50 - 65 on (Good Pay Week,)

    Thanks

I've always put in $20 when she's gettin low. Never filled up, I figured I'd use more juice if it had more. Altho the VX is a lot better on juice, chucked $50 in yesterday and it went heaps far compared to the L300 and the old 202's.

Every tuesday after work (midnight ish) its down to the local servo, prices are cheaper and i have a good chat with the cute girl behind the counter
Normally its around $1.50 per litre of RON 98 (my favorite of all fuels). I fill up my baby and it goes around till next tuesday.

When prices go up, i dont drive less, i spend less money on things to make my car faster, and more on something that makes my car move.

    Interesting thread.

Well i only use premium from mobile or BP, so no discounts :P. I normally drive around 300-500kms a week for fun, and probably an extra 150-200kms for work etc. I never let the tank drop below 50%... So it normally costs me $50 to "fill up". However i do this 3-4 times per week.

I just got back from a burn tonight (through the dandenong ranges for 3 hours). Did 350km and used $80 worth of fuel, (anyones who knows the dandenong range through to emerald/monbulk and back will know its pretty hard to average 100+km/h. So yeah, high fuel usage.

When driving to work etc i normally get 650km/tank (55-60L) which is about 3 weeks worth.

My fuel bill was $1360 last month. Record was $1020 in 36 hours driving to Perth a couple of Christmases ago.

I fill up when I need to. If petrol prices are high so be it.

I fill up at about half a tank to be on the safe side. My VK is currently using 18.33 Litres per 100k's so filling up before heading off is neccasary. But shes rarely getting driven due to the amount of petrol shes using. I also use public transport alot, 5 and 1/2 hours each day i have TAFE.

    Need another option.......

I fill up on the cheap day of the week regardless if I need it or not. Most weeks I only go through half a tank anyway.

I'd have to agree with VY storm here. When Tuesday rocks around, and petrol drops into the $1.2x range, I'll take a full tank. Then, if I run dry before next tuesday, I'll take a splash and dash. $20 if I think that'll keep me running. Then it's the full $75 tank again on Tuesday.

Fill up on Tues night, run low half way through the week, put in $20 or $30 bucks to get through to next Tuesday.
