I am wondering those of you who display the southern cross on your vehicle, what are your reasons for doing so?
I have seen an increase in the display of the southern cross in the N.S.W area and my views vary as to why this is the case.
What do you think?
I did have a southern cross at one stage on my rear windshield before.
Guess it was cause all my mates were doing as well..."aussie-pride"
..but i then removed because it made my car look tacky.
i dislike stickers in general
i seen a fair few of em in Tamworth when i visited, as for Brisbane, havnt seen one.
but have seen a lot of southern cross arm tatoos with the stars.
aussies should have pride, why not, I guess in these times of changin cultures a lot of young guys (and girls) like to identify with what they like most.
Gone Fishing...
Proud owner of a Southern Cross tattoo on my right upper arm... No sticker tho! Seen allot around my area tho (NW Adelaide)
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
Fair call.......
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
I wanna get one to take up my 1/4 window. I will be getting a southern cross tat on my shoulder in the future. Two reasons my gf wants me to get a tat, and its the only thing im proud to display. I ****ing love this country and every bit of it, im as loyal to this country as i em to my gf lol. Nothing better their going camping hiking etc and making the most of this wonderful place.
80% of vn/vp's (owned by people aged 18-25) around my area have them on their car. i wouldn't put it on my car though, nothing against it-just not my style.
I have noticed an increase particularly since the Cronulla riot's,I agree some have it displayed for patriotic reasons and others for racist reason's it's just usually hard to differentiate between the two unless you have that particular persons point of view.
On cars, they are now just basically frangipani's for guys..
Lol.............
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
I just love it when you see a mitsi mirage with a southern cross.... especially when there is a guy driving it.
Honestly I dislike any stickers on a car..... Not that I would look down on someone for doing it....
I can't say I look down on people for having displayed it.Truth being, I am interested in the motive.
I feel there are individuals out there who only display the southern cross to intimidate and generally make others of non-Anglo background feel singled out if you can understand my meaning.
NO, thats the Jetpilot sticker all the ********s have on there cars...
I like the idea of the sthn cross sticker. i did have one to out on my stato, but it wouldnt stick on properly, so i gave up.... but i will get a small one for one of the side windows... none of this big arse huge sticker.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
I think Australians do have a lot of pride. I don't think getting a tat or putting stickers on your car is the only means of expressing it though. Not a fan of either myself.
Check out the Anzac day marches in a couple of weeks - that is real pride shown by all ages.

southern cross stickers and tattoos look bogan, not my style
i wonder how many people with jetpilot stickers actually know what they make/sell?
I've seen one in Brissy, was on the south-side of the CBD. The car was a VR-VS ute (I think it was debadged) It had a body kit (I couldn't see the front end because I only saw it from the rear end twice), tinted windows and most likely be running on v8. Oh it had a roll bar as well. The sticker was stuck on the driver's side of the rear window. The ute had a pretty unique paint job. White paint job with black streaks running in all sorts of different directions, looked like as if someone got a knife and ran across the whole car with it.
I found the link for a car that looked very similar (except for the front-end and the clear tail lights) and its for sale: hxxp://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/find-a-car/power-search/search-results/car-details.do?vehicleId=NIMTCACV2:00000718&eRecId=967 1&eReturnUrl=w6.0-search-results.jsp%3F%26N%3D4294967257%2B296%2B417%2B4294 960899%2B%2B4294967264%2B4294967263%26Nf%3DpYear%7 CBTWN%25201995%25202000&searchType=1&vehicleType=1
(I am not trying to sell this vehicle and not advertising in anyway, so I edited the link format to avoid getting a warningchange hxxp to http
I personally prefer not to have any stickers on me car even vinyls as I feel its like putting a tattoo on yer skin. I don't have any tattoos and may never want to get one. The same pretty much goes with me car. I am not against people who have stickers all over their car or have vinyls.
There are about 4 BA / BF XR6 and XR8 ute's around my area all with the southern cross on the back windows. I personally wouldn't have it on my car. I am getting the southern cross done on my back once the last few bits of both my tattoo sleeves are finished. But i'm gonna get it done as big as Koby Abberton has it done across his back.

Everyone else is cheered for putting national flags on thier cars and saying they are proud to be "whatever", but put an Aussie flag or the southern cross on your car, or, worse, dare to utter the evil words "I'm proud to be white", and the death squads are after you...
