Obviously not happy with the current power so what happens should you supercharge the 6 and then want more? **** a block of land away building it up further for what is still in essence a tin box sounding 6?

I say go the 8. At least if you ever want more power you have a great starting point.

If this was a poll for a factory s/c 6 or factory V8, I would go the s/c 6. But if the supercharger is a mod to a basic 6 then I would go the V8. Therefore I didn't vote.

I clicked supercharge because i had the same dilemma and asked the q on the vr-vs forums and ended up going for an l67 conversion which im starting soon.
but if youve got a few spare dollars in your pocket which i havnt then spend it on an s/c v8 then you get the best of both worlds

For a VN-VS the L67 is a great idea but for the VY, there can only be one sensible option

Speaking of charging an 8, I know Yella Terra have a bolt on blower for the 304 engine. Not that would be cool.

Why make a poll and ask everyone else what you should spend YOUR money on?

Buy what YOU want to buy, not what everyone else thinks is the way to go.

because if someone has a really good explanation as to why it would be better to either put an 8 in mine or buy an 8 that i will change my mind

By the time I brought and fitted the Raptor, roller rocker and done exhaust on mine it cost me just under $8000.That's what I wanted and I couldn't be happier with it.

Now if you were to sell your car and add that $8000 to it I'm sure you would get yourself a good VY SS or close to it.

    Just some food for thought

This is madness. You'll get a LS1 or better in the VY for 8 grand or just buy a whole car with one in it for not much more. It's on a whole other level compared to a supercharged V6

Sell yours and get a V8. Don't go swapping your engine over. And trust me, you will soon get sick of stock v8 power and want more, so S/C 6 would be a waste.

Its not worth it. For the money you pay for the motor and conversion, you could sell your car, and buy another one.
