well this has been a very interesting poll for me. the hq is nice, and believe me should see 11 seconds down the quarter with new trans. but if you were to see the chev in real life you would understand why it is easily one of the best 4doors in the country. but yeah thanks guys. p.s i knew the monaro never had a chance, and i hate the v6 as much as the next guy, but i could only drive a v6 version.

Chev all the way.Considering there is little weight difference between the HQ and the 57 it wouldnt be hard to get it moving along nicely.

I'd have to say the bel air, only because the missus uncle has one and its amazing. and so smooth to drive, except no power steering

but then again.. the HQ as others may have mention is an aussie icon and will always be one...

hhhmmm... tough one really... but if it came down to the crunch it would be the bell air for me...

    thats just my 2 cents...

i voted monaro, its much more user friendly as a daily or a weekender

the other cars are more like trophys that you pull out of the garage once in a blue moon for a car show or something

Holy Crap would of never guessed that the Monaro would be beaten by classics. Sure they look stunning but i was sure everyone would want the luxury and quick V8 monaro.

I guess majority of Holden lovers on here are classics. Im more of a VR onwards Holden Guy

Oh really?! I thought it was the V8 Monaro. Meh i would still choose it simply because i like newer cars and love the monaro

What if it was the V8 with a massive catback system and supercharger? Would you still choose the other one

sigh. no room in there for "other"?

what about the ol' trusty GTR 32... it won bathurst a couple of times..

if it HAS to be holden then a HK prem or brougham. those cars are sweeeet.

monaro is pretty general, as is chev. but then you go HQ? i dont get it. i would much prefer a 67' chev to a monaro. or an 65' impala, they are both chevs. so which chev are you refering to?

the newer monaros are hideous and plastic *spew*. the old HG, HK, etc monaros are damn fine cars though, but id still prefer a impala. god, they look sexy.

edit* pics? my pc is being a twat and wont load them, i just get little x's

I way prefer the new monaro's like the red one. But if i got one i would change all the plastic bits to metal and suit it to the car like colour code it. Id make sure its a massive V8 and put a massive twin catback system on it, chev badges, chrome deep dish 17'a and then its sweeeeeet!

Bt id like HQ for some old school V8 action, their pretty sexy lolol

yes, because as i said before, i dont care what engine is in it. id still prefer the HQ. the engine doesnt mean everything

Certainly would mate....Commodores (late model Monaros included) have there place, no doubt. But, like i said before they aren't in the same league as real cars.

Out of those 3, Monaro. If i bought an older Holden i'd get something a bit run down and restore it

That Bel Air is bloody sexy, but, i'm also going to go with the HQ, 355 HQ Monaro. Loud, tough and fast. Tough choice for me between the Bel Air and the HQ, both are bloody nice!

Not a fan of the new Monaros at all. Too many of them around.
