theres a 3g router you can get, like the other internet routers but u plug in ur usb into it, im thinkin bout getting it.
my sister and mother have three and its rubbish in my area, so i got telstra and its way better but heaps more expensive, but it must be just certain areas its better, prob way better where you live though.
yeh it wont work if u just plug it in the xbox/ps3...cause u need to run the program that comes with it allowing to connect n stuff...
ive tried doin that myself havin the usb plugged in the laptop then havin an Ethernet cable runnin to it...that didnt work either
Use your laptop as an Xbox/Xbox 360 "Wireless Adapter" on Windows XP/Vista, and Mac OSX
should work for yah , but yah have to use the 3 internet as yah main internet
what operating system are you running? i use windows xp, and my setup goes like this:
USB Modem connects to PC, PC runs software to connect to internet, i SHARE this connection on my LAN, and connect the xbox to the PC via an ethernet cable.
the following page will instruct you on how to set it up, i'm assuming you'll need to select the "Windows ICS Connection: USB" from the drop down box at the top.
Windows ICS Connection
There is a netcomm router we sell where you plug the usb modem in the back of it and then bam xbox / ps3 / other laptops are fine to go.
Go to one of your local retailers Offceworks, Halfy Normal etc and they'll have one.
