hate computers. and it prob something real simple.

downloaded internet explorer 8 on my work computer. after i did that i went onto youtube and it says..

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

i didnt turn it off so must have an older version. so click the link to get the new flash. but cant download cause where it used to say 'download activeX controls' now says 'manage add on's' and its confusin the shit outta me

and im tottaly lost. all i want to do is download flash player. help..

any reason you are using ie8? firefox is a much better option.

Get the latest flash player, its probably diff from IE7 (I cant remember), also enable the active x control when on youtube, but only do it on a site you can trust.

I use google crome i find it way better and faster then both

you might have to go into Tools -> internet options -> Advanced tab and change some of the settings from disabled to prompt.

check also that the add-ons, programs tab, and "manage addons" button check to see if adobe flash has been disabled for any reason.

i had no problem gettin into the adobe sites. just the tab where it usually says instal activex never came up. it just kept sayin 'add on's'

i end up openin the net using a different IE icon and it works fine. weird?
