What MoBo are you running? Have you tried going to your MoBo manufacturers website to get the drivers from there??
Just to make sure:
- you haven't got the volume on the computer down/muted?
- your speakers are plugged into the correct socket (usually the green one)?
- in the BIOS (check start up message to see how to get in to it), you haven't disabled the sound card have you?
If that is all good, check in the device manager to see if a) your sound card is installed, and b) if it has (correct) drivers installed.
<<<< The information went data way! >>>>
it doesnt have the correct drivers xp didnt have all the correct driversto bad ey youll have to fine it on the internet just get the sound card brand and number and paste it in google or post it on here and ill try and find it
think its onboard sound, how do i find the mobo's model?
yeah sus out the motherboard did u get any cd's when u bought the computer???? like drivers and such and go into bios and make sure the sound is on
CPU-Z - CPUID will tell you what mainboard model you are running.
Once you have that info, go to the Mainboard manufacturers website and select Downloads for your motherboard model.
SIW (System Information Window) - SIW Freeware download and review - system information tool from SnapFiles
will also tell you what mainboard model you have
Hope this helps
