Any Live for Speed players out there in the LAN Lounge?
I've had hours upon hours of endless fun in this game (some may be offended by me referring it to as a game, in which case let me formerly recognise it as a 'simulation'). It's perhaps the most realistic computerised interpretation of a cars behaviour I've ever come across - you can even use a clutch in the newest revision of the game (and even stall if it's not used correctly!)
For those who don't know what I'm talking about: Live for Speed - Online racing simulator
You can download a trial which, if you're anything like me, you will become addicted to.
Oh, come on! No one besides camstatic and myself play this amazingly brilliant game?!
You all need to try it out - it is well worth it. ~100mb download! Do it! NOW!![]()
Hah. Really? How could you possibly have any control over your vehicle in the game after a few beers? I find it challenging enough sober. ; )
I've heard nothing but good things about this game...I'll download the demo and see if I can waste a bit of time on it this weekend

Man, my computer is so crappy it can hardly handle the demo I downloaded. I'd hate to see what it would do if I bought a license and tried to play online

Is my connection.
LFS Servers use a crapload on bandwidth in both directions though so I don't know how I'd go for download quota, might have to trial it.![]()
Check out my VP right 'ere!
Actually no they don't. I've been playing for some years now best game EVER! lol but seriously I was running a server and it really wasn't affecting my quota at all.
It's good that you have a good connection speeds, it's going to be nice low latency for us Australians. **** all those American and Euro servers that have lag of about four hundred years.
My username is jujibelly and you should see me in the drift servers, come and say hello, excuse my behavior I take the internet seriously on LFS.
Oh and I use the G25.
I was speaking from experience, I used to run a 12 slot lfs server when the team was more active, from 7pm to midnight I'd have sent and received (internode only count downward traffic, which is handy) massive amounts of data. The connection can handle it for sure, but it's my quota that concerns me.![]()
Check out my VP right 'ere!
Interesting because when I was running it it didn't really affect my quota and I was monitoring it as well. I must add there are options to limit the amount of download/upload bandwidth via LFS, you should give that a try.
There are also free programs that allow you to limit individual programs bandwidth consumption.
