Map of Europe for laptop

Hey,

Quick question.

I'm going to Europe and I want to find a program that is like a electornic melway of europe.

So rather than having an actual map with me, I just need to crack open the latop and see whats going on.

I need this for moments when I DON'T have access to the internet.

So it needs to be a standalone application and the maps are stored on my HHD.

damn was about to say google maps lol.

well you could always just use google maps and print off maps of the areas your going before you go?

I'm not sure of any programs that just have maps, unless you bring a GPS with you and buy maps for the countries you are going in? But that would probably be really expensive.

just did a quick google search MapPoint 2009 - Home

in the system requirements it says you need the internet for some features.

but then its expensive too Buy, download Microsoft MapPoint 2009 from Microsoft Store

can't think of any other ideas.
