MSN error

hey guys i've tryed google without much help any one know why when i try install MSN or windows live i get hit with this error code..

Error: OnCatalogResult: 0x80072ee4

Next Step: An Unknown Error occured.



thats what i get?... can anyone tell me how to fix it??..

Quit MSN Messenger

Go to Start

Click Run

Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

Re-Start MSN Messenger

dunno if this will work, but everytime iv gotten error codes whilst dowloading wlm i just uninstall, then go to a diff site and download from there..

hmm still not working.. also i cant install service pack 2 on vista... i think the problems are related??

Try the solutions in here 0x80072ee6 - Error while installing Live Messenger 9 (build 14.0.5027.908)

Also try downloading a fresh copy of the setup. Yours may be corrupt

yeah tryed downloading it about 5 times.. each time with same error... think im gonna back up my HDD and re-install Vista...

Try Right clicking on the Setup file and choosing "Run as Administrator" it may be a permission issue.
