    Default Keyboard faults

Anybody experienced dead keys on their keyboard? The "m" key on mine has just decided that it needs to be hit a hundred times before it works.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it? I hope it ain't a PCB replaceent job.

You can get another keyboard for $11 or for free if you know where to look for one.

The other thing is if you take the key and try putting some oil (one tiny drop) between the plastics of the key. If that does not work get another keyboard.

Forgot to mention - it's on the laptop but an external keyboard would be the answer. Thanks for the idea - it hadn't occurred to me.

Okey, just hooked up an ergonomic keyboard I had sitting in the garage. Thanks for the suggestion guys - don't know why I didn't think of it myself. All fixed.

Always good idea when you are hungry and need a snack.

I could feed an army for a month sometimes on my work one

I've only ever managed to kill one keyboard - it was the original keyboard that came with my old Dell PC a few years ago. The space bar, c, v, b and n keys all went out at the same time. With how hard I am on my keyboards, and how fast I type, I'm surprised that its the only one I've managed to kill.
