Just wondering if anyone here knows how to reprogram an EPROM or BIOS chip. I have an Old Soltek SL-85DR2 motherboard here that was working like a charm up until I flashed the BIOS and killed it. The BIOS update I installed was corrupt unfortunaqtely. I have a new eeprom and the correct BIOS update for the board now; I just need to have it reprogrammed.
I know there is equipment available to do the job but in reality it is a bit expensive for a once off job
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks Guys and Gals

I am not sure of the size as you put it but the numbers on the chip I have here is as follows;
SST
49LF002A
33-4C-NH
0323052-A
The original one out of the board has the following on it;
SST
49LF002A
33-4C-NH
209195-A
in ballpark figures, the chip measures approximately 11mm x 14mm and is 32 pin
I hope that helps...

Yes that is how it is normally done, but since the corrupt BIOS was installed, it won't post. The CPU fan spins but that is about all that happens...
