ps3 offline lan

hi guys im trying to set up a lan between 2 ps3's and for the life of me i cant get it working we have a router 2 ps3's and 2 tv's can someone please spell it out step by step as if they were talking to an infant

u gotta make sure the game provides lan first,

other then that it shud b pretty simple...ill go try my 2 ps3 as ive gotten a few games that support lan
