Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone is playing Aion?
I'm thinking of getting the game... I've been a WoW player for some time now... getting a bored of it.
Just wondering if you'd recommend the game?
Does it compare to WoW? Warhammer? GW?

Havent played it yet. But from what my mates tell me.. Its a more grindish then WOW. but thats to be expected from a Korean game. Im looking to get into it in the next few weeks though. My mates have an old aus guild from WOW thats turned over to wow. Sanctum Infinitas. They play on the Elyos server and accept casual gamers. Cant remember their website. But if anyones interested. Ill post it up.
i play Aion and i enjoy it and the Nezekan Server is a dedicated oceanic server although its still hosted in the US the competitions and events that will eventually be held will be in our time zone rather then the US time zones

more grinding?!! crapppp...... I thought WoW was pretty bad at grinding. Apparently the graphics are better on Aion ... just don't know about the rest of the game... I hope it gets off... I've played WoW for way too long... had several different characters and doing the same stuff over and over again gets a little boring.... but didn't get much into lich king tho ... took forever to level up.

Yeah it does appear to more grindish. Most Korean based MMO's are a grindfest. It does look like a pretty game though.
the graphics are better and i have sort of played WoW before but it was a free non-wow based server thing and i enjoyed it for a while until there was a update or something so i deleted it but Aion is really popular because sometimes on a saturday i went to go on the server and there was a 40 minute wait which is really good to see
... . Huh?
I haven't played Aion but still play wow and i see allot of ppl coming back to wow and sharing their thoughts of Aion (usually ends up as huge arguments in trade channel), The graphics are way better in Aion compared to wow but thats not too hard to do obviously, its been up n running in Korea for about a year now and is in version 1.5 so they are getting it properly sorted but don't expect anything very different from wow gameplay wise there are a couple of exceptions like arial combat and flying with your own wings also the only way to lvl after a certain lvl is by doin repeatable quests. Wow is getting kinda boring for me i have 2 lvl 80's and raid with the hunter i didn't think very much of call of the crusade patch, but having said that the addiction factor is huge for wow for me lol theres always stuff to be done like grinding rep or lvling a profession.
Hopefully gran turismo 5 comes out soon so i can stop wow lol (whatumeanop, nagrand realm)
