What are the best Driving / Racing games ?

HI as the title says, what are the best racing games currently available.

I used to play V8 supercars 2 heaps way back, i thought that was pretty good.

The best driving game is when your at the light and a XR6 falcon comes next to you on Parramatta road and
you race the shit box and win.

I really liked the Burnout series, great edge of your seat racing plus you had levels where you got points for the best crash you could make.
