What are the best Driving / Racing games ?

HI as the title says, what are the best racing games currently available.

I used to play V8 supercars 2 heaps way back, i thought that was pretty good.

But i have a Wii for more casual social gaming.

PC + racing games = fail without a steering wheel, or at least some kind of game pad. You need an analog input for steering/braking throttle.

Lol. street rod is classic. still occasionaly play it.. Pink slips or bust yeah..

These days. its Grid and the insane wait for Gran Turismo 5.. A good steering wheel is a must. both damn fine games. GT5 for its realism. Grid for the fact that you can go buy it right now.

Grid is probably the best you will currently get on pc otherwise its Gran Turismo 5 (but thats PS3) when its released around mid - late next year outside japan

Spot on, cant get better racing games then that. I think a total remake of Streetrod is needed.

Only racing game I play is LFS (live for speed), its good, realistic, online play and runs on my POS computer.

gt 3 is the best when im old my kids will here about it nearly completed it had 50% of endros left then found real cars

the f1 was so ****ing cool the mugen nsx won a lot of stuff

grid was good, until i installed a new patch. after i installed it, it decided to crash randomly, usually after finishing a hard race, so i havent played it since

Downloaded it a couple of years ago, and i think i used to toke too much reefer in my young days.
