at first i didnt wanna jailbreak it coz it voids warranty, but if u restore it, it is wiped, so theres no existence of jailbreak. apparently there making a jailbreak proof iphone

i heard on the radio the other week that jail broken phones can pick up viruses. dont know if its true but at this stage im not to keen on jail breaking after hearing that but i havent heard of anyone gettin a virus on theirs yet.

Its true. The virus thats out atm is just a rickroll, changes your wallpaper to a pic Rick Astley, and can't be changed unless you restore.

yeah, although you can prevent it by changing your main password if you even happen to come in contact with it, i did it so i can be safe and not sorry even know its unlikely.

i did my itouch with blackrain i think its called but after a while it would crash my itouch and i had to keep restoring my itouch, the only app i downloaded off cydia was "mxtube" which lets you download vids straight off youtube when i was connected to wifi. but cause it was crashing all the time and i was loosing the vids i downloaded so i paid for a program off the net called "touchcopy 09" which allowed me to get the vids off the ipod and save them on my comp then i put the vids back on my ipod.

no such thing as the iPhone mini.

as for the games - you need to have the latest edition (g4 or gen 5 i think)

they support games.

yep had my iPhone Jailbroken from about 3 days after purchase - best thing i did -

it allows you to personalise it more eg background behind the springboard, custom sliders, ring, message and email tones. skins for your media player etc etc not to mention the extra apps and games.

WAY better.

Is there a way to speed up the iphone after jailbreaking? Im on 3.2.1 broken with blackra1n. Its annoying when it laggs when you open up apps or switch screens.

I tried jailbreaking my 16g iphone 3gs with o/s 3.1.2 and the latest Cydia with no luck.

Kept bricking it straight up. always wanting to restore through the process.

Any ideas as to why it keeps bricking it?

there is rare lags, and lagging when respringing sometimes, but i hardly ever get lag issues using the iphone generally.

bricking means when you destroy your phone and it is unusable hence it is known only as a brick.

to your question, have you updated your software at all?
what actually happened?

with some of the iphones you need to use blackra1n every time you reboot the phone or the phone turns off, run blackra1n plugged in and it turns on.
luckily mine just takes literally 5mins to reboot instead of asking to plug into itunes.

if you've jailbroken, dont update to 3.1.3 as it will not be jailbroken after updating.

I fixxed my lagging issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled tvout 2 and works like a champ.
