You use Google's Free VCD Burner? If I wanted advice on how to use Google I would have asked.. I wanted recommendations on programs..
what format are your videos currently in? and does it *have* to be a VCD? no one really uses VCDs any more - most DVD players play the most common video file formats if you just burn them as data (i'm assuming you've just downloaded the 'movies'). plenty of DVD players even play divx videos now. so there is no benefit in using VCD any more.
windows will burn a data disc for you so you don't even need any additional software.
They are .avi files. I figured that seems how they are just under 700mb it would be best (and cheaper) to use CDs instead of DVDs.
I used to make a few VCD's.. And found most programs results are fairly similar.
This one has had good reviews.

yeah you can use cds as opposed to dvds. but there is a difference between burning them as data and burning them as a vcd. do you know whether these videos are going to be played on a computer or DVD player?
for computer:
burn the avis as data and not VCD. they can just copy the avi to their computer and store the movie on their hard drive. if you burn the movie as a VCD they won't be able to do this, they will have to rip it, similar to copying a dvd. and there is no benefit.
for dvd player:
data or vcd. avis *should* be ok to play on a dvd player. however vcd will be way more compatible, so that's the only time you'd want to use vcd.
Nero is working sweet, cheers for the help. Just burning the .avi file has worked a treat. The boys at work love me now lol
and now it's time to download some more![]()
