    Default Not recognising anything in the USB drives

    just wondering what possible problems it could be, wont recognise anything, camera, flash drives, etc.

    Does it make a noise at least, when you plug it in? or nothing at all, no noise no pop up of any sort.

    when anything is plugged in, for example i just plugged my mobile into it the same message comes up
    USB Device not recognized, one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize

    all seemed to be working fine about a week ago

    If worst gets to the worst, I suppose you could always use the system restore function?

    Unplug your devices, reboot and plug the devices back in.

    For XP
    If that doesn't work, right click my computer, properties, hardware, Device Manager, select the device (Universal Serial Bus Controllers), select the device or Hub, right click, update drivers, follow the prompts for the "Hardware Updae Wizard"

    same thing happened to my computer a while back, should be easy to fix.
    turn off computer the unplug it at the wall, wait a couple of seconds then plug it back in and start your computer again.
