    Default Phone Car Kit

    Hi Everyone,
Now with the new mobile phone rules I need a car kit for my phone. I have a Nokia 6120 Classic. Just wondering what kits are compatable with my phone and car (VY commodore). I use my phone for work purposes quite a bit so need something that is loud, clear and reliable.

I use the ck 7w kit which is a nokia kit. I also have a 6120 and it works well with that, plus i've used the factory button in the console so it all looks factory.

Had a ck-7w car kit with a nokia 6120 classic and the person i was speaking to would always hear a echo when he spoke spent many a time moving the mic and speaker to make it better.. Gave up in the end..

Now i have a Parrot CK3100 LCD car kit with a nokia 6700 and amazing the difference. Also a lot cheaper than the Nokia car kit and works a lot better with it. Connection is via bluetooth and is crystal clear. Also no ECHO ..

The below Parrot kit can be used with your model phone

My Nokia classic mobile works fine with the std VZ Holden car kit (same kit for VY), easy to fit, all plug and play.

What about using just a car charger for the phone and getting a bluetooth in car unit like one from BlueAnt? You have to be able to operate your phone without touching anything, so that means it needs to be voice activated. The new Blueant responds to your voice when it tells you someone is calling.

Yes, but that in Victoria (where the OP is) with the new laws is illegal. Your mobile device must be able to be operated without pressing any buttons. Voice activation (or telepthy in advanced models) is the only way.

Re-read the rules. even if it's in a holder it must be able to be used without touching anything.

So a bluetooth headset/sunvisor is a phone is it? I thought that my headset was not a phone, thus I could touch it as much as I wanted.

You can answer a call with your headset, you're just not supposed to touch your phone, although vic roads were on the radio the other day saying that as long as your phone is in a holder you're allowed to touch your phone to make, answer calls.
    Confused yet?

On a similar note, I have an iPhone that I use for phone calls with the VE's inbuilt Bluetooth system. I'm looking at getting one of the phone cradles that sit in the bit opposite the handbrake, but not sure if they'd fit an iPhone. Anyone know if this is true?
I use my iPhone as an MP3 player in the Aux. In, and so want it somewhere I/passengers can easily change songs etc.

Need a little help, my old 6300 classic worked fine with my holden in car bluetooth but my new 6900 classic is asking for a passcode after I find the Holden bluetooth and it says add now.
Is there a special number I should be using?
I've tried heaps of default numbers like 0000 and 1234 but every time it comes back with the same message:
"Wrong passcode, use same passcode for both devices".
