HELP HELP HELP!!!! Blackberry Bold

Hey guys,
Wondering if someone could help me?
I have a Blackberry Bold and I ran it out of battery yesterday. I only have the computer charger and I have been charging it all morning. It has a continuous red light and it wont turn on no matter how long/hard I hold the button in. I tried charging it and taking it off charge to turn it on. took out the battery, played around, etc. It wont work!
Could someone please help me?
i wanna cry. LOL.

When you 1st got it did you charge it for the right amoutn of time.. i think its 11 or 14 hours... the battery might be buggerd.. also i dont think the computer data cable acts as a charger cable

blah probs not. its happened before and IT at work fixed it eventually. yet the computre cord does charge it, but im assuming if its ran out of battery, it needs proper power charging it get it back on.
its currently at IT now. hopefully they fix it

i was gonna see wat u guys thought before i hassled them. but yall too slow and im impatient LOL

If it happened before witht he same phone.. id say your battery is on its way out, that 1st intial charge is essential/essensial??... it's important

Your battery is not dead!

It's a common issue with BB's used to happen to my old one.

Only issue is the fix is normally required by a wall charger because a PC usb port tries to transfer data not just charge it.

Normally you plug it into a wall charger, take back cover off, remove battery for 20seconds, try to turn it on, then put battery back & turn it on, an it normally comes up with the clock screen.

EDIT:
try the following:

pull the battery
plug in the desktop charger (make sure DM is shut down)

the led should light up red. if yes then put the battery back in and let is sit for 10 mins before turning it back on

I didnt say the battery was dead... But i did say wait till u get back to a proper charger before u worry to much.. then if that doesnt work it might be the battery

ohhh ok. well it tried it with the wall charger and said it kept turning on and off. i might ask if i can borrow it for a bit. but they have a lot of blackberrys and i did drop it in the toilet once

ok hozy, i just did wat u said with the compy charger. il go get the wall one off it if it fails.

Goodluck ^_^ It's a scary feeling! It's the issue with a lot of smart phones tho, Try not to let them fully go flat cos they crack the shiats!

haha yes i didnt mean it. i left my wall charger at yea, with the straightener (dont i look HAWT this week

) and left my compy charger at work and i was home sick for two days. the bitch eats battery hard

Nope, 99% of new phones especially smart phones don't need a full charge mate.

All new batteries are "li-ion" lithium ion some even lithium ion polymer batteries...

NO MEMORY on them, Smart phones eat battery no matter what.

PLug the BB into wall charger with no battery, red light should come on, put battery in & leave for 5mins them try to power up.

Plug the BB into wall charger with battery, try to power up, remove battery, try to power up, then put battery back. (reset feature on some BB's)

There a pain in the ass, but lots of fiddling does get them to boot, Just try not to let it die next time shithead

this happened to my sisters BB, and she had insurance and got a new phone, 3 times. i dnt have insurance

hmmm tempted to upgrade to an iPhone

I might have an iPhone 16gb 3gs, Black, to sell Next week, let me know if you are interested, Just fitted new screen. Comes with charger/box/new earphones/usb etc.

ARGH be around the office, every manager has the same phone, but know one is in there office! went into my old bosses office, but his wasnt there, and the other boss. and i dnt wanna go into my new boss's office, i dnt know him well enough yet. GOD DAMMIT!!
