    Default Windows 7 problem

Hey all just a quick one, have a problem with Windows 7. While using an application in full screen (media player, COD, etc) it will randomly minimise to the taskbar, thoughts?

Quite possible that some process running in the background has been assigned a higher priority, so it minimizes the player and hijacks the system when it kicks in...

AirStrike, have you got AVG antivirus running? I just started having the same problem in XP, and determined it to be AVG.

That would be it! Started doing it when I updated didn't even think of that.

I only figured it out after I hit alt+tab when it happened to see if anything else was open, and AVG came up in my open tasks (although when you tabbed to it, there was no window, just took focus away from everything else). Googled it and found out that the newest update causes the issue.

Apparently there might be a fix to it: completely uninstall AVG from your system (ticking all options during the uninstall), clean your registry using any registry cleaner tool (may not be required - but better be safe that sorry), reboot, and reinstall. I did it a couple of hours ago so I'll be keen to see if it works or not. If not then I'll completely remove AVG. I only use it for scanning the odd questionable download here and there and I've turned off the Resident Shield auto protect anyway.
