i had a netcomm once and it was not possible to get it working properly with torrents. can't remember the exact problem, but it was something like a problem with port forwarding only allowing 10 connections in per port. or maybe it could only forward 10 ports. but anyway, all torrents went ridiculously slow. i did a lot of research and the problem could not be fixed on that router. that was the first and last time i will ever buy a netcomm product.

Have you tried this page?
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall
I'm not afraid.
enable UPnP on your modem, (have a look through your user manual)
save and reboot
go to utorrent
go to options / preferences
select the connection tab and
enable UPnP port mapping
enable nat - pmp port mapping
Do you h ave any firewalls running? if so add utorrent to your firewall
