hey fellas, need help with a file i downloaded.
i managed to download a holden service manual off limewire and once it had finished, it was automaticaly made into a 'sonic record now' file which is bloody useless to use at it only allows me to put the file onto a cd. when i try and open it as a pdf file it wont allow me as it says its not compatiable with this program. so my question is: how do i open it as a pdf or something?
thanks for the help,
cheers.

what's the file extension? as far as i can tell, sonic record now is for burning music.
Would you have downloaded an .iso file?

You need a program such as CD and DVD Burning Software - Alcohol 120% - Alcohol 52% and Alcohol 52% Free or any cd burning program to mount the ISO. Once you mount the ISO you will be able to see whats inside.

what do you mean by 'mount' the iso?

an ISO file is a disc image file... Basically, its an exact copy of a CD or DVD which you can then use to burn to another blank disc...
Mounting an ISO means you use a program which treats the ISO as a real disc. You load the iso into the program and it replicates the funcitonality of a real disc.
The easiest thing for you to do is burn the iso onto a disc and then copy the files onto your Hard Drive.
Load up a CD/DVD burning program and find the option to "Burn ISO". Choose your file and then write the disc.
After that, just copy off what you need.
aZk.
