    Default PDF file error

Just recently updated to windows explorer 8

ever since, when i click on a link that is a PDF file the new tab opens but just shows a file symbol.

to view a PDF file i now need to download PDF file (save target as...) and then open up the file.

does anybody know how to correct this error in explorer 8

    cheers

Try opening your PDF reader first, then open the PDF file.

Even better, do the world a favour and don't use IE

    Google Chrome FTW.

your probably right. really should get rid of windows but that's to much effort. might give that a try though IE is bloody slow

Yeah give it a whirl, in a few days you'll be wondering why you ever used IE in the first place.

No need to ditch Windows, Windows 7 actually brings quite a lot to the table over XP/Vista (thought you do still need a bit of a supercomputer to run it). Personally I'm a Mac guy, and thats what I like, others are Windows, some are Linux, etc - it's all horses for courses, each has pros and cons.

LOL, such a improvement already. IE is gone for good. in the early days i used netscape before it got screwed over. no point running windows 7 on this PC, it's way to old and the few times i used Vista i just wasn't impressed at all
