    Default Nokia N97

Hey does anyone have a Nokia N97 mobile phone ???

I do Have had it for about 5 months now, After about 2 months it stopped sending messages all going to out box rather than sending and i wasn't recieving all my text messages, Other than that the phone seemed to be ok,
Sent it of to Optus who by-passed it to Nokia, and they said nothing was wrong they did an update on it and that was it 3 weeks later i had the phone back, Now almost 2 months later the exact same thing has happened

    Anyone had this problem???

sounds like a network problem, not a phone issue. Check the message centre number under message settings matches one of the correct optus ones.

Try changing it to one of these till it works:

    Optus Australia +61412025989
    Optus Australia +61411990000
    Optus Australia +61411990001
    Optus Australia +61411990003

Be sure to include the + symbol.

good point but would be easyer to call optus and get them to just send the settings to your phone

A friend of mine has an N97... after one month it stopped working and they won't fix it under warranty... they claim it has had water in it. Now I know this phone has been cared for, and hardly used... never near water. Needless to say he's not very happy.

I've heard mixed reports of the N97... seem to be quite a few having issues.

Got one as well, Haven't really had any problems with it, only a few minor glitches and nothing a reboot couldn't fix Rather happy with it and so is everyone else that has used it. Much better then the iPhone IMHO

^^^ same thing happened to me.. phone replaced under warranty.. means a scratch free screen :P..

but yeah its a good phone overall, maybe apart from the Ovi Store, the iPhone is pretty good with the applications and stuff, but when it comes to being a mobile phone its an absolute hassle.

yeah, if you intend to get applications, buy a ipod touch aswell. **** ovi store. rip off ****ers. half the apps dont work, the other half cost the earth.
