    hi

    what causes the hp zd8000 laptops to constantly turn themselves off and the power button having to be pushed for no reason when they want to

    It could be any number of things. Most likely is it is overheating. Is it very hot when it shuts down?

    Could be a trojan, a conflict with hardware or heat related as said already. Thing is with computers it could be one of many things.

    It is a matter of trouble shooting until you isolate the issue.

    ffs, google has a million and one answers on this one

    zd8000 turning off - Google Search

    seems this model is prone to over heating, clean it out and get better airflow or move to Antarctica.
