So I went out and got a copy of Supreme Commander 2, because I love the first and wanted to give the second one a try. Got it home, went to install and BAM, have to install steam first so that it can verify my CD key... Fair enough, enter key and yes you have a valid key for Supcom 2 but the release date for AUS is MARCH 5thHowever if you lived in AMERICA (Oh how I do not like AMERICANS) I could of started playing on the 2nd... So what I am trying to get at is the fact that STEAM will let you buy the game on the 4th, Release date for the actual game, but you can't install the game till the 5th at around midday. You can preload the game if you want which installs the game, just without a couple of things to stop you playing it, but then (with the dvd in the drive) it goes and starts DOWNLOADING the whole F**ing game...
What is the gaming world coming to when you can't just install a game when you buy it without having to install the developer\distributors software then verifing instal & release dates...
Found a way to install it though, just a pain in the arse, should have to muck around to install a game that I paid for![]()

Companies wonder why people rip/burn/download games/movies, its because its easier.
Reminds me of a picture in the Pic of the Day thread.

Exactly, I was going to download it to try but I really wanted to try it now, so I went and paid for it, ends up taking me longer then downloading it for free

Steams shit, you dont know that?
If I ever buy a movie, the first thing I do is rip it to my computer. Because A) I nearly always misplace the disc, B) I get quite frustrated with all those useless screens/warnings.
