i tunes and a broken computer.

well, basiclay, long story short, the computer has died, it was quick and painless, one minute it was working, then next, bang.


so we removed the hard drive, and have installed it into a portable case thingy, which will alow us to drag info off the hard drive, (just incase when they install the new stuff, last thing i want is a broken hard drive.)

so a question i have, is where does i tunes store it's info and all the songs? i got my entire i-tunes collection on the hard drive, and i wanna drag it over to the laptop we are using so it doesnt get lost, but i catn find it. where is it stored?

Depends what your settings were. By default it just links to wherever you added the files from, and if then move the files it will come up as a broken link and wont work. Or you may have had it set to copy all files to the iTunes folder or set folder. Cant remember the location of the iTunes folder and cant check because I dont have iTunes on this PC.

EDIT: Quick google. My Documents > My Music > iTunes Folder
