hi guys, first post in the LAN lounge so be gental
ok i have a system pritty basic, running windows vista (aghhh) over all its good but im after a better graphics card for it.
i have no idea where to start and im not in to trusting ebay sellers so i thought i should ask the question here. i have frends in the it busness but there sales man you know the type....
let me know if you need specs as i heard diffrent cards go with diffrent systems etc, and i want the right one....
not looking for the best but im after a good one for games like need for speed sim city etc etc
ummm, ok... specs are needed, does your motherboard accept agp or PCI express, what CPU and Ram are you running etc....

i am running a celeron d cpu 3.06GHz with 2.5 GB memory, ill have to get back to you on the motherboard
as long as your motherboard has a pcie slot i would go with a 5770. that'll play every game that's out on the market (won't max out the settings, but you'll be able to play them) and is the best value for money. any better than that and your cpu will probably be a bottleneck
im pritty shure it should have the pcie slot, ill grab a pic up this arvo for you to have a look as i would have no idea. also what brand and etc is the 5770, and is it readly availble, (small town only have harvy norman or computer shops)
the 5770 is an ATI card. ATI have been killing the GPU market for the last 18 months due to nvidea being lazy as shit.
i had a 5770 and loved it, the only reason for an upgrade was i got a bigger screen.
The ATI 5570 is a good card, for a comparison you could compare pricing with the Nvidia 9800GT.
If computers have no doors or fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
have a look at pccg m8, heres the range of 5770 hd5770
ill be getting my self the 5850 range in a few weeks
Sashyre - well said lol.
upgrade to a mac, never worry about thing.
someone needs to clean out their dust bunnies! and yeah 5770 will work fine, and is readily available from anywhere.

just make sure the power supply has enough power to run the card

I recently spent $700 At PC Case Gear (just last week) and service was excellent put my order in night before and picked it up next day. Best pricing on the net for almost every product they sell. I was looking at one of them HD5770 but bought a M/b with a built in HD4200.
Si i agree with Dijm8 consider buying from these guys instead of ebay
