Cool [How to] mount you lcd to a wall for free.

I was making this guide for another forum and thought I would post it up here as well.

This is a guide on how to mount your LCD screen on a wall for free or next to nothing.
In this guide I will show you how to mount your lcd screen to your wall using a old cd/dvd drive. Pictures speak louder than words so there's lots of pix.
The best thing about this bracket is that if you **** it up it doesnt mater because you will never see it.

    What you will need:
4x screws to mount the lcd to the bracket (some screens come with these)
    1x cd/dvd drive.
1x angle grinder/dremel/metal cutter/tin snips or ant thing that cuts metal that you have kicking around.
4x or more bolts screws/some thing to mount the back bracket to the wall. Depending on the size of you screen you may want more.
    1x drill
1x drill bit suitable to your screw size
    1x screw driver
    1x texta/pen/pencil
    1x led screen

    Take your cd/dvd drive

Undo the 4 screws holding it together

Remove the bottom and put it aside (you’re going to need this)

    Take the front off

    Remove the guts

    remove this thingy
    <a
if it has a round thing under the sticker remove it aswell

Now you should be left with 2 pieces these will be you brackets

next you need to remove the lip inside your top bracket this can be done with any metal cutting tool I used tin snips because it was quiet and I did this at 2am.
It does not matter if you make a mess of it because you won’t see it.
    <

now you should remove the back by bending it back and cutting it off

Now you need to cut about 200mm of one side so it leaves a nice lip, this is used to hook to the other panel later on

cut off other the side of completely and you should be left with this

Now take both panels and put the together make shore they are lighted

then clamp them of hold very tightly together

    Now bend the lip over

Now remove the clap or your sore hands and trance the holes from your screen onto a picee of paper then trace those on to the bracket now drill the holes for the screws and test fit if the holes line up then screw it down

Next up grab the other piece of metal and drill some holes in the top and bottom or where ever it is best for you
    <

Screw the panel to you wall at your desired height etc

Ive put some spacer’s in-between the top of the bracket to allow for the folds that hold the screen there.
    <

Next put up your screen and hold pray it doesn’t fall down

    Now enjoy

no idea it hold my 24inch lcd nice and tight with little movement but i doubt it would hold a 50inch screen but if you let me borrow yours we can test it lol and if it falls of you can have the screen back. whata ya say? good idea or what lol

also its been on the wall for about 22 hours and havent had any problems yet
