Google Chrome is the best
well on my iMac I use safari its awesome on macs cause obviously thats what best suits it
and on my PC i use firefox both great browser
Another vote for chrome. So easy to use
I use all of them. I write articles on PC help sites and you kinda need to know a little bit about everything lol.
I've heard people say chrome is faster, but on my connection almost all pages open pretty much instantly with all browsers except IE, which is actually noticeably slower. I cant say I can notice the difference in speed if there is one between the others.
I don't like chrome because I don't like being a slave to google. I don't like safari because I cant stand apples lol
My own personal choice is Firefox, by a long shot. Its fast, open source, and has addons for just about anything you can think of.
i use safari at the moment, i used mozilla up until a couple of days ago. With the install of lion i found firefox became a bit sluggish, until there is an update i will use safari.
I had been avid firefox user for years but a friend convinced me to try Chrome late last year and haven't looked back. I have no choice but to use firefox/IE for a few of the ATO business portal programs but that is all. Chrome is highly recommended.

Chrome is based on the open source framework of Chromium, which is like 99% of Chrome anyway. So really, it's open source too, just like firefox.
It's also many times faster than firefox/IE/Safari/Opera, and also much more secure. Many people say it has a back door to google, but the fact that the program is both open source and has been picked apart by hackers that many times and nothing was found is a pretty safe indication to me that it's the browser I should be using.
Due to it's security and safety I always recommend it to my clients.
But I use Chromium and Firefox on all my linux machines, and at work I run Chrome/Firefox and IE, because all the domain machines run IE out of necessity.
what are the "add ons" that you guys are talking about with firefox? i used IE but it was shit so i recently changed to FF, sooo much better! but still getting used to it
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
There are thousands of add ons for Firefox. You can find them on the Mozilla site. One of my favourites for instance is Ant Video Downloader, which downloads any FLV movies it finds on the page... like YouTube videos. Its a simple process to download a music video and convert it to MP3...
Regarding the speed of Chrome, there have been many comparisons done, and depending on which comparison you listen to, all of them are fast except for IE, and the winner varies, its not always Chrome. The speed of your browser is more dependent on your internet connection than your browser in my opinion. Chrome on my ladies computer is much, much slower than Firefox on my computer too, because her computer is slower, simple as that.
99% of Chrome may be based on Chromium, and be 'safe' because its open source, but the 1% of Chrome that isn't Chromium belongs to Google, and the compiled version of Chrome is not open source. Given Google's record of privacy invasion, it seems unlikely to me that Google isn't getting any information from or about you. I doubt its anything to be paranoid about, but I am certain it's happening. On this point though, all browsers send info back to base by default, but this stuff can mostly be switched off anyway.
It all comes down to personal preference in the end I think. If you like the interface, you are going to like the browser.

and BOY do I like the interface.
But also what does it for me is that it is actually, as yet, unhacked. People pit exploits against browsers in competitions, and this is the only browser to come out unhacked.
