google images does look different, but i preferred the old layout, where it showed the thumbnail of the pic up top and the page it came from below.

now when your doing an image search- it's changed. when i was looking up manta kits, it would load the picture first in front, and in the background the webpage. then when you click the picture off it loads the page for a second time. that is what i don't like.

i'm with somefool, i like the old layout with the picture at the top left.

I reckon it looks good - but I use Chrome so maybe it's better (more integrated) with Chrome.

I agree 100%. The "Google fade in" is a bloody PITA, particularly when my ADSL is shaped down to 64kbps, meaning sometimes the menus don't appear for ages or at all.

They've got rid of the "Australia-only" radio button which is annoying.

The utterly useless "Google Everything" bullshit at the side of search results just takes up space.

Also the Google Images layout update is a nuisance. Lot's of bandwidth-hungry content i just don't want & the layout sucks.

The most annoying part to all this is there's no opt-out, so i use other search engines whenever possible, except Micro$oft's Bing rubbish.
