    Default lost wireless network device

hi, laptop is a compaq presario v6000, and when i have updated to windows 7 to get rid of vista i can no longer connect to router wirelessly, only when i plug laptop in with the cable.

The device manager tells me that under the other devices heading there is

    base system device
    base system device
    coprocesser

    all have a yellow (!)

if i click install driver, a window pops up saying that driver cannot be found.
ive tried downloading a driver of hp website, but doesnt work either?

any clues to where i can find the correct driver?

    cheers.

    Open Network and Sharing Centre.
    Manage Adapter Settings.
Try and delete wireless adapter you are having issues with.
    Restart.
Windows 7 should be able to detect the drivers you need and download them. If you did an upgrade from Vista to 7 you may have not been given the correct new drivers. You should always format when changing operating systems.

Failing that go to HP - Australia | Support & Drivers and search for your laptop model. It wont be v6000 as that is the series you will need to be more specific so you get the right drivers for your specific laptop.
