Default isp change- is there an easy way to forward my emails to my new email addy?

Hi all, i finally decided on a new isp and want to move over 1000 emails to a new email account.
Is there an easy way to do it? I dont want to spend hours forwarding them one at a time if theres an easy way.
My current isp is people telecom and the emails are web based, if that makes any difference.

    Cheers Shane

Download mozzila Thunderbird and set it up using your existing web based mail settings, once set up it will download all emails from the server, new and old.

Yep, but then you will have to import them into your new one when you set that up if that's what you want to do. Or you can set up the new one in Thunderbird as well and have it as your email program on which ever PC you use.

    one word: gmail

Manages all my email from various pop locations. i.e. gmail pops the mail and stores it online for me. I then have Outlook setup via IMAP to gmail. But I rarely use that these days. You can turn Chrome into an application that runs anything that's web based and it's fantastic for gmail.

    thanks not an abba fan.
I finally got thunderbird to connect. There was a security setting in server settings that wouldn't allow me to connect.
Just downloaded all my messages, hit the archive button on one of the messages i need but now cant find it. Thought i would be able to find it but cant.Any ideas?

Didnt want to start another thread so i will add to this one.

Just done the switch- i used the comp i am connected with now to get on the net.
I cant get on the net with the other 2 desktops that are working atm.
I used this comp to log into the biliion bipac 5200n modem to change the isp settings(username password and dns servers). I think that is all i changed.
What i do know is that all my comps were/are manually configured and not auto detect settings(had problems not connecting before).I still have connection from computer to modem.
What do i need to change to get net connection again?
When i go into local area connection to the status on this comp i get address type-assigned by DHCP. On the other 2 i get manually configured. The ip adresses look right (as in just the last digits change), subnet and default are the same.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers Shane

Update- just worked it out. Had to change DNS server numbers, dont know what dns server is but thats what was wrong. When a lappy got bach here it wouldnt connect to the net either, the wireless connection was connected so i tried looking at the properties and when i saw dns server i remembered haveing to set that in the modem so i tried it and they all work now:-)
