Since i am sure your as bored as me at work. Whats the grossest thing you've found inside a PC. I had a good one yesterday.

Now i have worked gutting a scaling fish and see some pretty ####ed up things inside, but yesterday was close to taking the cake.

I work for a company called Australian Computer Traders as an account manager and we control all the roll outs of the Ex Gov and ex Cooperate gear and re-sell it again. Most of it goes for export or goes to our business clients or wholesale, But we also have a showroom for some general retail. Been that purchasing a Ex Gov computer (still perfectly fine for your everyday use) it's a very cost effective way to purchase a computer with out paying $1000's+ you could imagine we do have to deal with the..... bottom end of society sometimes.

They were a bit busy in the show room yesterday and i came out to help and had this lady come in complaining that her machine that she purchased a month ago won't turn on. So i was like okay i will have a look at it out the back. Now i know there is a Common problem with the machine with the fact that they can have blown or raised capacitor on the boards so i thought that i would open it up and have a look.

Open the machine up and there when HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of little cockroaches that come pouring out of it. I am am serious when i mean that, they went frikin everywhere. So i picked up the machine and threw it out side, got the customer out the back to have a look and the excuse's come flying out. "oh oh were getting the place fumigated, it must of been the boys eating food near the thing".

Sometimes i wonder what kind of shit hole these people live in.

    God it's a slow day......

If it's any sort of similarity the thing was full of roach shit and piss, so that's pretty close.

It's still sitting out the back in the car port. I sprayed it yesterday but i keep turning it over and giving it a good shake and still more or the buggers come out ALIVE!. I am still deciding what i am going to do, i can provide here with a replacement system but i am bloody as well charge her for it. God i hate helping out in the retail.

so you should charge them for it. Some people just live like pigs mate and you should be compensated for your time and effort.

Exactly, most companies would class that as abuse, not covered under any sort of warranty (assuming the system is under warranty, a lot of ex-govt machines come with a 1 - 3 month warranty)...definitely charge for it.

You think that's bad. When I was doing printer repairs one of the guys I worked with went out for a job at an abattoirs. Problem was marks were coming up when they were scanning. Turned out the abattoirs weren't washing there hands when they were scanning there payslips and the scanner was clogged with blood.

Oh that's nice. I have seen quite a few cooked rodents in the larger printers.
