Okay, this one has me completely stuffed.
I have just purchased a new desktop with Windows 7. I use hotmail for my e-mails, have done for years, so I'm comfortable with it. Until now, I have never had problems attaching photos to my emails but boy, has that changed with this set-up. Hotmail uses ActiveX to enable the pics to be downloaded and attached to the e-mail, but IE 8 which is my preferred internet system, refuses to permit ActiveX to operate. I've read the instructions, altered the security settings to "enable" for ActiveX, even downloaded ActiveX separately from the net, and hotmail still refuses to download pics for attachment.
I know others on this forum use other programs instead of IE 8, and it might come to that if this prob won't piss off, but does anybody have any suggestions why I am having this problem?
Please keep the explanation simple - this ol' bod is definitely NOT familiar with URL's etc and the multitude of other technical jargon that supports the IT industry.
Cancel the above. Sorted the mongrel out. (bloody fluke!)
