    Default iPhone 4.2.1 Jailbreak Released

Been waiting for this for a while...

    New Greenpois0n

I can confirm it works perfectly - it's EXTREMELY simple to do. Just make sure on Windows 7 you run Greenpois0n in XP compatibility mode.

    Cheers!

My other half will thank you for this link. Looks like this version isn't tethered to PC whenever it reboots, which is the reason she gave up on jailbreaking it last time.

Doesn't work with older 3G phones for those who are interested. For those you can use redsn0w which is untethered as well.

Lol, that's the trouble with iPhone. So much easier upgrading, rooting and restoring on Android

Errrrr... Did you seriously just say that?

Watch this video and see if you still agree with that.

Yeah looks easy enough to jailbreak, except when you have un-jailbroken reverted back to stock and can't save any of the jailbreak customisations easily.... setting up each and every one is a PITA. Android is just a case of using titanium backup, hit restore after a new ROM is loaded and all done

The apple firmware upgrades and re-jailbreaking with iPhones just makes it so hard to keep up with the updates

Pretty sure you can't jailbreak over jailbreak basically. You have to revert back to a clean firmware somewhere along the line.

It's called Slanted Lock. You also need Lockscreen Clock Hide and file:// for MobileSafari but that last one comes as part of the default Cydia install.

Here's the tutorial on setting it up:

Just changed my wallpaper to a permanent one that doesn't change. This is what it looks like now:
